Who we are
In 1955 , with the establishment of the Central Vegetable Market of Athens, Apostolos Mayopoulos moved the store he was running to Piraeus. His son Stefanos Mayopoulos took over the reins of the business in1964.
In 1992 he collaborated with Georgios Davris and founded the DAMA company.In 1998 they brought the first Cypriot potatoes to Greece and turned the preference of the Greek consumer to a quality product that has conquered the market until today.
In 2002 , the first packaging plant was created to be able to supply the large supermarket chains. In 2007, they were transferred to the privately owned packaging plant in Keratea, where it is still based today.
In 2010, in collaboration with the Naxos Agricultural Cooperative (EAS Naxos), they launched and established “Naxos Potatoes PGI” in the domestic retail market with great success.
The exclusive partnership with the Cyprus Potato Marketing Organization (SEPK) since 1998 and the company’s long-standing experience in the fruit and vegetable sector were key factors in achieving the goals necessary for a successful trajectory in the industry.
In 2019, the third generation modernized the packaging facility by investing in state-of-the-art machinery to continue offering the widest range of packaging options while providing the best quality and customer service to its clients.
